DESCRIPTION

Alternate Fuel Feed System – Electrical Installation

Goodwin was selected to deliver the electrical scope for a major upgrade of the alternate fuel feed system at a large industrial facility in the Lower Mainland. This marked Goodwin’s second alternate fuel project in the region, building on prior experience and reinforcing the company’s reputation for delivering complex energy transition infrastructure.

The project involved extensive electrical work across a large and logistically demanding site, with significant portions of the installation taking place at elevated heights. Goodwin’s experienced project team navigated these challenges by applying the company’s well-established Best Practices, Procedures, and Processes—ensuring safety, consistency, and quality throughout the build.

Key elements of the project included:

  • Installation of high-voltage and low-voltage distribution systems to support new fuel handling and delivery equipment.

  • Integration of control systems and instrumentation for automated fuel feed operations.

  • Coordination with mechanical and structural trades to maintain schedule alignment and minimize downtime.

  • Strict adherence to safety protocols, especially in elevated work zones and confined spaces.

  • The project was completed on schedule and on budget, a testament to the strength of Goodwin’s planning, field execution, and cross-trade collaboration. The successful delivery of this system supports the client’s broader sustainability goals by enabling the use of alternative fuels in industrial processes.
